Hello everyone! Hope you all had a nice weekend. I thought I would post the picture of March Cottage this morning and hopefully brighten everyone's Monday a bit! This month's cottage has just one overdyed thread, that being Weeks' Pecan. All the rest of the threads are DMC.
On Wednesday I'll be posting the picture of our other new design, Our Love Nest, so be sure to come back to see that one as well!
Aww so sweet,, another beautiful cottage ,,

ReplyDeleteI love it and got enough fabric for all 12 months as a Christmas gift. Where are the beautiful frames from?
ReplyDeleteThank you for the perfect birthday house!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteKim - the frames are from Crescent Colours' line The Family Tree. You can contact your shop about ordering them. They are pretty huh!
ReplyDeleteThat cottage is the perfect green! I love the little sheep too. I'd say this one is another hit!
ReplyDeleteNikki, I absolutely LOVE the March cottage! Thanks for letting us know that we only need one overdyed for this one. I finished January and it is at the framers. I picked out what I think will be a great frame and I plan to swap out each month. I was wondering if you could post the fibers used for each month when you post the picture so that we could have the fibers ready and choose our fabric so that we can begin stitching when we get our charts? Just a thought. Thanks again for this series. I love it!
ReplyDeletemy fav so far!!!! love the color blending with the others.
ReplyDeleteI love this one! I love sheep and I have a son born on St. Patricks day. What a perfect combo of the two! It is definitely going on my wish list!!

Nikki - Loving the series. I'm just about to start on February (Valentine's Day present for the in-laws.) Quick question - how big is the fabric? The design is 5.5 x 5.5 and the frame you use is 7 x 7. Should the fabric be 7 x 7 as well? Thanks... and looking forward to the rest of the year.

Rita - I like to leave an extra 3 inches on all sides of the fabric for finishing or framing. So that would mean that I would cut the fabric no smaller than 11 1/2" square, or just plain 12" square. Enjoy!

3 inches it is. Thanks so much!
